Three stages. One transformative experience.

Teams submit their Policy Blueprint in Stage 1. Shortlisted teams then present and defend their policy before an online jury in Stage 2. Selected finalists progress to the on-campus Grand Finale at SRM University-AP.

Public Speaking & Policy Making Masterclasses

Every registered student receives access to two online expert-led masterclasses conducted by SRM University-AP faculty and experts. The sessions strengthen confidence, articulation, argument building and policy thinking before students enter the competition.

Research the challenge, develop a multidisciplinary solution and submit the team’s blueprint online.

Registered students attend the two free online masterclasses in Public Speaking and Policy Making.

Compete & Advance

Following Stage 1 evaluation, shortlisted teams advance to an online policy presentation and Jury Q&A in Stage 2. Successful teams proceed to the on-campus Grand Finale at SRM University-AP.

What is YOUTH PM 2026?

YOUTH PM 2026 – Policy Beyond Boundaries is a national school competition that introduces students to policymaking, public speaking, leadership and governance through policy challenges, simulations and parliamentary debate.

Who can participate?

Students studying in Classes 8–12 from CBSE, ICSE, IB and other recognised boards are eligible to participate.

How many members are there in a team?

Each team consists of 3 student members and 1 school coordinator.

Can students in one team be from different classes?

Yes. The three students may be from any combination of Classes 8 to 12.

Can a school register more than one team?

Yes. Schools may register multiple teams. A separate registration form should be submitted for each team.

What happens after registration?

Teams access the Stage 1 Policy Guidelines & Topics and submit their Policy Blueprint. The submission deadline was extended to 16 October 2026, 6:00 AM IST. Visit this website for further announcements, masterclass information and Stage 2 updates.

What are the free masterclasses?

All registered students receive 2 free online masterclasses in Public Speaking and Policy Making, led by SRM University-AP faculty and experts.

What are the competition modes?

Registration is separate from the competition stages. Stage 1 is online Policy Blueprint submission and evaluation. Teams shortlisted from Stage 1 advance to Stage 2, where they present and defend their policy online before a jury. Stage 3 is the on-campus Grand Finale at SRM University-AP.

What prizes can students win?

The team awards are ₹1,05,000 for 1st Prize, ₹75,000 for 2nd Prize and ₹60,000 for 3rd Prize, corresponding to ₹35,000, ₹25,000 and ₹20,000 per student respectively.

Will finalists receive travel and accommodation support?

Yes. Travel & accommodation expenses for finalists attending the Grand Finale at SRM University-AP will be borne by the university, subject to competition rules.

What recognition is available for schools and coordinators?

The competition includes a Winner’s Trophy for Outstanding School and special recognition / gifts for school coordinators, subject to applicable competition rules.
